Pissed Jeans November newsletter
Season’s greetings! Pissed Jeans back atcha, hoping you’re enjoying this 70 degree November weekend (ughhuh?) like we are!
Our gigs at Foto Club and TV Eye were lots of fun last month! So cool to share the stage with Waste Man, who inadvertently linked us to infamous pro-wrestling writer Vince Russo, however indirectly. Sorry but we cannot elaborate further. Friendly reminder that we’re playing Saturday, November 12th over at Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City, and tickets can be purchased in advance by clicking right here! It’s with Gutter Drunk and Reckless Randy, which is funny because there’s a Randy in our band who also behaves recklessly on spirited occasions. Probably our last show of the year, unless something else happens! Been playing a ton of new songs live and they’re sounding great, if you ask us (the band who writes and performs them).
In stranger news, these bumper stickers materialized over the past few weeks, why or how I do not know. We can’t take responsibility for them, nor do we endorse the Jawn Morgan law firm that they so clearly lampoon, but they seem to be around now! Come see us in Atlantic City and we can discuss?
Look, someone even spotted one in the wild! And it’s not one of us, trust me, we’re a Subaru band, no Ford Focuses here.
Foolish propaganda aside, I do want to mention that we’ll have a new lil’ something to announce pretty soon! Don’t want to spoil any surprises but we’re feeling pretty excited over here. Maybe next month, shared alongside our Christmas wishlists. I guess that’s all the news you need for now, so let’s give the floor to Brad to share not one but two YouTube picks!
For this month’s video, we take a look at a fun news segment featuring Bobby Soxx and Stickmen With Rayguns. Both the Bobby Soxx 7” and the Stickmen recordings were huge influences on the beginnings of Pissed Jeans. If you’ve never listened to the Bobby Soxx 7”, here’s a link to Scavenger of Death which is one of the best dirgiest songs ever.
