Happy March! We took it easy last month, following a rousing hometown show in January with Kilynn Lunsford, but we’re mobilizing for a busy and exciting March. Shall we get down to business, then? We shall!
Following our “going wherever we’re formally invited” method of booking shows, we’re headed back to Texas this month! Two gigs, no fuss. The first of which is at the great Club Dada in Dallas, where we’ll be performing alongside Sub-Sahara and Proxy on Friday March 17th. You can pre-order tickets for this one here, and please, I urge you to do so if you feel like going! We’re in an era where we get weekly updates as to how many tickets have sold, and it’d be fun to see that number go up. At least it can’t go down… right???
The very next afternoon, we’ll be in Austin performing at Fiesta Destructo for the second year in a row. Last year was a real banger, and this should prove to be no slouch as well: Soul Glo, Waste Man, Civic and the band Pigs seven times are all joining us! Many other cool acts as well - feel free to squint at this headache-inducing flyer if you want to know more. It’s a free event, and I think we play last at like 6 pm, hopefully after the sun sets at least a little.
Almost immediately following our triumphant Texas gigs, we’ll be headed to a professional recording studio to track some new music! I don’t want to say anything further, lest I jinx it (and we are most certainly a jinxable group), but hopefully there will be a meaty April update for you. And speaking of April, we’re still opening Black Eyes’ Philadelphia reunion gig on Easter Sunday, but that’s long sold out. Should we play a 2004-themed set, only playing the songs we had written by 2004 and performed at our 2004 abilities? Sound off in the comments below.
That’s all we’ve got to share for now! And of course we’d be remiss if Brad didn’t provide you with his YouTube clip of the month. See you in Texas… take it away, Brad!
This months video is a great one from one of the best. The Kids from Belgium in a TV spot with some live footage mixed in. Their first LP is one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded, but I wish there was a full recording of this live show.
Will the cyberpunk track be on the new album - such a banger.
I second the Cyberpunk comment and raise you a plea to come to Chicago lol but not in May cause too many things are happening in May for the love of piss
